Sunday a depleted academy U16 side fell to their first defeat of the Kent League campaign away at TJs.
Despite competing well physically against a strong TJs pack, Oaks' set piece and inability to launch their starter plays let them down as they spent large portions of the game defending. An outstanding solo effort from centre Tom Wilson (converted by captain Josh McCann) was a high point, but ultimately possession told as TJs ground out the victory.
The U16s look forward to a friendly away at OEs on Sunday before resuming their league campaign against Canterbury on February 9th.
