Lead Strength & Conditioning Coach
Overall purpose:
Sevenoaks Rugby Club is seeking an enthusiastic professional to lead the Senior Men’s Squad Strength & Conditioning provision for the 2024/25 Season.
The role will start from March/April 2024 and will reporting directly into the Director of Rugby.
This role will be responsible for -
· Creating an off season, pre season, & in season conditioning programme.
· Managing, monitoring and driving Strength & Conditoning programmes & database, ensuring high player engagement levels.
· Organising and delivering Senior Performance Squad gym group based Strength & Conditioning sessions at the club gym.
· Leading on field pre season & in season conditioning sessions, working in collaboration with the wider coaching team.
· Supporting wider coaching team with player loading throughout the season.
· Planning and delivering return to fitness + rehab session, in collaboration with the medical team.
· Providing appropriate nutritonal advice.
· Opportunities available in the future to lead the wider S&C provision across the club, which includes our Senior Ladies & Academy Girls & Boys.
Essentials skills and experience:
· BSc in Strength & Conditioning, Sports Science, Sports Coaching Science or other relevant qualification.
· Experience working or volunterring in a sporting environment.
· Must be competent and show good levels of IT literacy, specifically – Excel, Google Drive, specific training programme apps.
Desirable skills and experience:
· Currently playing Adult Rugby, preferably with experience playing at Level 4 and above.
Working Hours & Pay
Hours – part time, on pitch training sessions take place on Tuesday & Thursday evenings, matches on Saturdays.
Pay – competitive and will be discussed during the process.
